This podcast workshop teaches participants how to write safely, sensitively and expressively about complex and painful situations. Broadwave podcast Tender, has been praised for how atmospheric it is: how the musical score is used, sound effects, cultural references and organic prose to write holistically about abuse without skimming over ugly and malign experiences. Capturing a sense of hope while remaining candid is a complex and sensitive process that requires deliberation, self-reflection and the permission to delve into unlikable places.

Are you coming?

Our festival is 100% free. It’s always free. But this year, National Young Writers’ Festival is asking for you to register for the festival. Registering for our festival means you can help us maintain and secure our ongoing funding. We rely on funding to provide this opportunity to artists and audiences. We need to understand who exactly we provide this opportunity to.

Can you support NYWF?

During registration, you’ll see an opportunity to buy a NYWF supporter ticket. If you love our festival, we encourage to help support our festival by becoming an NYWF supporter. The “ticket” doesn’t get you into anything extra, it’s a contribution to support the ongoing running costs of our festival: which is 100% free to attend!
