Snakes, spiders, sharks, stickers… everyone is afraid of something. [fear less] is a verbatim experience with a physical theatre bent. Staged inside a maze; let us guide you through a myriad of real people’s fears as we attempt to find the line between the rational and the irrational.
Fear controls lives. Terror has become a weapon of mass destruction. There are big, world ending things to be afraid of… and then there’s also whatever is waiting for you in the dark.
[fear less] is a work interested in the line between helpful and harmful. The big fears, and the small. Based on a series of verbatim interviews, an ensemble of actors perform inside a maze, guiding the audience promenade-style on a journey through anonymous testimony. [fear less] is part haunted house, part physical exploration, and part insight into the dark corners of collective human consciousness.
Content note: this show has mentions of sexual assault and trauma, as well as strong adult themes.
