TINA 2018 was a blast!

TINA 2018 was a blast!

Thank you to everyone who attended TiNA 2018. We hope you enjoyed the festival as much as we did!

Photos are still coming in but you can check the THIS IS NOT ART Facebook page for a selection of photos so far.

What was your festival highlight? We loved so many events, that it’s hard to pick! But certainly we were absolutely thrilled to bring music back in a big way this year. Local music and collaborative arts collective WE DON’T DANCE was a Special Guest this year and worked with The Y Project and Banshee to present:

+ Sara Sandford and Mel O’Dell at the TINA Festival Launch
+ Flight Hawk and Holiday Basement at Last Fridays – TINA TAKEOVER
+ INPUT and HAZEL DAZEL as part of the NYWF Ball x Crack X Mega Art Party.

Really looking forward to seeing more local musicians and artists involved with TINA in 2019!

Take the TiNA 2018 Survey

We’d love to hear about your TINA 2018 festival experience. Take the TINA 2018 survey to help us improve the festival for next time.

You could even win a very cool prize:
* A NAVA Membership (includes Public Liability Insurance if you need it)
* a Lifted Brow subscription
* a TINA merch pack (tee and tote), and
* 3 prize winning books (The Life to Come – Michelle de Kretser; The Museum of Modern Love – Heather Rose; and The Choke – Sofie Laguna)

The TINA 2018 survey is open until 31 October.

A big thank you to our supporters

TiNA happens each year with support from our partners who provide cash and/or in kind support. A big thank you to our 2018 Principal Partners the City of Newcastle, the NSW Government via Create NSW and the University of Newcastle.

This year we worked with four key local Program Partners – The Lock-Up, Watt Space Gallery, Newcastle Art Gallery and Newcastle City Library – who opened their doors and helped us deliver 190 free events over the September Long Weekend.

TiNA 2019 Artist Call Out

One last thing – Mark your diaries for the TINA 2019 Artist Call Out. While we are considering a shorter call out period next year, it’s likely to be 1-28 February 2019.

Start dreaming up projects and we’ll confirm soon! You can subscribe to the TiNA ad hoc newsletter to be the first to know the details.
